Get to Know the Associates of Communications Network, Inc. We believe that we have assembled a team with the knowledge and skills to serve your communications needs.
Daphne grew up in Delaware County near Muncie, Indiana and moved to Muncie in 1970. She began her career at Delaware Telephone Answering Service in 1974.
Daphne was the bookkeeper for Delaware Telephone Answering Service when she and Brad purchased the business in 1977. Communications Network, Inc. became certified by the State of Indiana as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise in 2007.
Over the years Daphne has performed many of the duties necessary to keep the company operating at top form but her primary duties have been the financial management side of the company. Along with this Daphne has been the main facilitator and responsible for the implementation of new technology as it has become available.
In the off hours Daphne enjoys sewing and spending as much time as possible with Brad at their lake house.

I came to Muncie in 1964 from Indianapolis to attend Ball State University and have lived in Muncie ever since. I bring almost 40 years of experience in sales and marketing. When I originally joined Delaware Telephone Answering Service my focus was new customer acquisition.
My wife, Daphne, and I purchased Delaware Telephone in 1977 when most of Delaware’s clients were either medical offices or service businesses and were all based in Muncie, Indiana. Daphne and I began to expand the reach of our company regionally.
Over the years we have been fortunate enough to bring together a talented staff that has helped us dramatically grow the business. In 1987 we changed the name of the company to Communications Network, Inc. to more closely represent our expanding client base and service alternatives.
In the years following our staff’s talent and the ability to take advantage of leading edge technology, has brought us clients across the nation.
My primary responsibilities are to handle inquiries and new sales contacts, as it was in the beginning. My personal time is spent sailing and breeding and showing Portuguese Water Dogs

Vivian was born in California but has lived most of her life in Muncie, Indiana where she graduated from Northside High School and attended Ball State University.
Vivian started at Communications Network, Inc. in 1979 as an answering service operator and over time learned various areas in the company. Throughout the years Vivian has performed as telephone agent, billing and collections, customer service for cell phones and pagers, as well as programming of the answering service accounts.
In 1985 a she took the position in accounts receivable and Vivian has been in there ever since. Vivian is the primary contact for questions regarding invoices and payments and is very customer focused.
On her off hours Vivian’s interests include playing bingo and spending time with her grandkids.

Cindy grew up in Muncie, Indiana and graduated from Northside High School. Cindy’s specialty has always been in customer service.
Cindy joined Communications Network, Inc. in June of 1996 working primarily with pagers and voicemail. Since then her duties have grown to include billing, accounts receivable and filing.
Her other duties are involved with the necessary paperwork to get new customers started. She also works with the programming department, keeps track of account numbers, long distance charges, available phone numbers and maintains and runs the automated credit card payments.
Customer service is Cindy’s overall assignment and in her spare time Cindy likes to bowl.

Mindy was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana and attended Ball State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Management and graduated with Department Honors in May of 1993.
Mindy joined ComNet in 1998 as the Human Resources Director. Mindy’s primary duties include recruiting, interviewing and assisting with the hiring of agents for our call center.
Mindy maintains all the employee records including health insurance eligibility, attendance and earned personal time off. She processes payroll, handles accounts payable, and monitors calls for the agent bonus program. Mindy works closely with Beth Love, the Operations Manager.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our boy/girl twins. I am an active member of the Muncie Mother of Twins Club. Being a member of MOTC consist of working all home concession stands for Ball State University Football and Basketball games along with other special events. This is a wonderful way to support our club and our local university. In my free time I like to read, go bowling, work in our yard and create floral arrangements.

Tom was born in Muncie, Indiana but grew up in Greenfield, Indiana returning to Muncie to attend Ball State University. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Arts Management & Printing Technology in July 1994.
Tom began with Communications Network, Inc. in 1999 as the IT Systems Manager. Tom’s duties included installing, maintaining and trouble-shooting all the work station computers.
Tom also installs and maintains all of the file servers, network hardware and software that keeps the entire system working properly. As the Information Technology specialist he also creates and provides detail billing and the many custom reports that various clients require.
Tom married his wife Mindy in October 1994 and now they have a set of twins that were born in September 1999. I enjoy being with my wife and our boy/girl twins. I am an active father in our son’s Boy Scout troop. I enjoy wood working, bowling, fishing, working in our yard and re-building computers in my free time. As the father of twins, I help out with the Muncie Mother of Twins Club whenever they need help working the concession stand at the Ball State University home games.

Judy also came to Muncie, Indiana to attend Ball State University in 1968 from a rural community in North Central Indiana. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a husband.
They chose to stay in Muncie near his family and Judy substitute taught before going to work full time for Ball State in the library. She retired from Ball State in 2005 and came to work for Communications Network.
Judy’s duties include researching client’s information needs and creating scripts used by the telephone agents. These scripts guide them through handling calls in the most effective and professional manor. Programming has progressed from fairly simple text templates to very sophisticated conversational scripts using SQL databases.
Any time there is a question regarding a message taken by our agents Judy helps our agents understand client concerns, their business and specific needs.
When away from work Judy enjoys taking time for nature photography. Her son and daughter-in-law live near enough for frequent visits. And she says; “There is always home maintenance work to be done when I am totally bored!”

Doug was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana and attended Ball State University for 3 years working towards a degree in psychology.
As an account programmer Doug is a primary contact for clients in creating or updating scripts that allow our agents to have a professional and effective conversation with callers. Doug creates scripts that address client needs in the most efficient way and take advantage of the technology we have available while focusing on providing the caller with a satisfying experience.
Doug is single and enjoys spending time with family including four nieces, a nephew, and now a great-niece. His hope is to return to Ball State at some point to finish his degree in psychology.
